Author – Advanced

RapidResponse - Understanding Analytics 2

This course is intended for advanced RapidResponse Authors who have taken Understanding Analytics 1, and who want to learn about the more advanced RapidResponse analytics to better understand and develop resources, such as workbooks and dashboards. It builds on the core netting concepts introduced in analytics, and introduces additional analytic capabilities such as multi-sourcing, alternate BOMs, and forecast spreading/consumption. Students learn through hands-on exercises and business-focused content.

On completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Set up transfer sources to enable inter-site allotments of supply to demand
  • Enable multiple sources of supply that can be used to satisfy a part’s demand
  • Define alternate component configurations within an assembly’s bill-of-material
  • Spread forecast demand over smaller calendar intervals to smoothen out supply planning
  • Ensure forecast is consumed by actual demands so that only the unconsumed portion is planned
  • Report supply that is uncommitted and therefore available to satisfy new customer orders
  • Determine realistic demand/supply available dates and determine any causes of lateness
  • Use priority-based techniques to influence how potentially limited supply is allotted to demand
  • Identify which higher-level orders ultimately consume specific lower-level component supplies
  • Prerequisites: Introduction to RapidResponse, RapidResponse - Working with Scenarios, RapidResponse Basic Authoring - Authoring Resources 1 or RapidResponse Data Administration, RapidResponse - Understanding Analytics 1
